Your Checklist

Ensure your appointment goes smooth and speedy.
Be sure to read this checklist and ensure your notarization is successful the first time.
Avoid the Failed Notarization charges described below.
  • Understand.  Fully understand what you are signing.  Notaries do not explain your documents to you.

  • Service Selection.  Know the service you want and use the term on the list of services provided. If you are unsure which notarial service is required, you may choose from the list of services provided and make a selection, or contact the entity requiring the documents to be notarized to inquire - prior to your appointment.
  • No Blanks.  Blank spaces within the document to be notarized are not permitted by law.  The exception is the area saved for the notary appointment (signature, date, location...). If you want your signature notarized, bring an unsigned document. Customer will be required to fill-in or draw a line through (and initial) any blanks.

  • Entire Document. Bring the whole document, all pages.

  • Identification. Bring your current, unexpired passport, driver's license or government-issued photo ID and signature. Additional examples of acceptable ID: Social security card, current PA Dept. of Corrections inmate ID card, Medicare card, state-related university identification card.   Not acceptable:  ID that does not match your signature, temporary or expired license, birth certificate, utility bill, credit card.

  • Adult.  All signers must be 18+ years of age. However a  notarization can be completed for the oath or affirmation of a young person/child.

  • Presence. All signers must be in-person and present for the notarization.

If services cannot be completed due to client default, a cancellation fee will apply, plus mileage if I have traveled for the appointment.

It is the client's responsibility to have all required documents, know the service that they need, and understand the meaning of their documents.  A client will be charged in full if they come to the appointment, but are unprepared.
